Apparently as we get older we are unable to hear certain frequencies so some people utilize this noise to bother teenagers and deter loitering.
I've always claimed that I still think I'm twelve...I love guitar hero and rock band, 13-year book series (Twilight, Harry Potter). People think I'm just immature, but now I have proof that physiologically I am still a teenager....That argument holds up, right?!

I heard it too! And yes, I thought it was very annoying! I definitely would not stay in a mall that had that playing. Good test
I heard it, although that is a miracle given the abuse I have heaped on my ears in the form of loud music, concerts and sporting events. It is definitely annoying!
ME TOO i can hear it. I love the books too.
I heard it after I turned it up..my kids can hear it right off.
I did not hear it!!!! What the???? It may have had something to do with the kids running through the house screaming, tv blaring, guitar hero on it's loudest setting!!!!!
Ha ha...i love those series too.
I do not so much hear it as I "feal" it - hurts my ears. So I guess I am still a teeny at 40?
Found you through Candid Carrie! That is too funny. I am addicted to V.C. Andrews so I suppose I am still floating arounding in the land of the adolescent!
Hi I found you on Candid Carrie. I love your blog. Hope we can get to know each other better.
Happy Monday!!
LOL! A good friend constantly tells me that I'm apparently still in high school. Sometimes I feel complimented, but most of the time, I think it's a dig. Oh well. I hope I stay young at heart forever!
I'm not entirely sure about that one. I wouldn't want to listen to the volume a teen does. Deaf would be around the corner.
Anyway, I'm here because I left ya something nifty on my blog :)
My ears are the one thing on my body that hasn't gone to pot. My hearing and sense of smell is intact, but otherwise, I have the body of a 75 year old woman.
