Really?!

I'm a huge fan of "The Biggest Loser" on t.v. and watched this last season faithfully (or as faithfully as you do with a dvr). Michelle was hands down my favorite person on the show; she was real and didn't play games. I was so happy for her when she won.

I read this article today...and I thought, "Girl, do you have a brain in your head?!"

'Biggest Loser' champ to tie the knot - MSN TV News

May be I'm just being pessimistic (which is odd for me 'cause usually I am a sucker for a good love story)...Here's the scenario: You meet this guy 4 months ago; you win "The Biggest Loser" and take home 250K, you're enjoying your 15 minutes of fame, and then Mr. New Boyfriend pops the question....kinda convenient. Guess what Michelle is going to be spending the 250K on?! You guessed it, the wedding, etc. I predict we'll see a follow up story in about 18 months where Michelle gets dumped on her butt after the $ runs out!

My pessimistic mind goes here:

Michelle loses 110 lbs., wins $250k, meets guy who is only marrying her for the $$, gets married, gains back about 60lbs., guy cheats with last year's winner or any chick. Michelle loses another 185 lbs. when she dumps the bum - sends the rest of her winnings - of which there is only about 10k after the wedding, down payment on the condo, divorce attorney, and alimony ...and begs Jenny Craig to take her in!

Swirl Girl, I am right there with you...may be they'll hire us to help write the screen play for the lifetime movie of the week they'll make from the story!

Heehee! I thought the same thing when I read it on People. I think it was a little convenient!

I have to say...How stupid can you be?

Well, here's what I think. She was a heavy girl, with issues with her mom, and issues with herself (like no self-esteem and not wanting to see herself as important)... so she loses weight, and gains some confidence... and then this guy comes along, and he "likes" her... and you know what, she's not stupid... she's making a mistake most likely, but she feels loved... she feels loveable... and so she's letting that take over common sense. But I understand where she's at. i was (am) a fat girl... told by my mom that guys don't want to marry fat girls. So when a guy came along (24 years older than me who still lived with his mom) who said he wanted to marry me, i grabbed at it. Because that was my one chance, right? I don't think I'm stupid, but I did make a really bad choice. And now, I'm trying to undo that choice.

Maybe she'll see what's going on before it's too late.

Or maybe... maybe... it's the real thing?

I hope it turns out okay whichever way - she's a sweet girl.
