In case you didn't believe me...

Remember when I told you about what a HUMONGOUS Gator fan my husband was here? Let me just give you a little more information to prove that statement.

When Jackson was born, my husband (who hates shopping), immediately went to the Gator/Seminole store and purchased a hat, onesie, and socks for the baby and official cheerleading outfits for the girls (here's Cameron modeling hers).

The baby's hospital picture was taken in the Gator apparel:

I had to resort to threats to keep my son's baby room from looking like this (note: the walls would be orange and blue)

I talked him down to a mobile, bumper, and banner.

Then the fanaticism took on a newer, scarier level when the Gators started to have a killer 2006 football season. Of course, my husband attributed this to Jackson's birth and how he must be a good luck charm. So as a result he created this blog for Jack: Born to be a Gator.

I told you so...please send your condolences via the comment section...

Well, it seems true that your husband is a HUGE gator fan. My husband is a HUGE Alabama fan! He wanted to name one of our daughters Crimson & the other White (his comeback when I objected - it will be their Middle Names!) We have the cheerleading outfits too and we own "Alabama Baby" the dvd like Baby Einstein but it is about Alabama Football. I send my condolences cause I totally understand!!!

We're kind of the same way in this house about Auburn. As soon as we told everyone we were pregnant, we started receiving AU pacifiers, outfits, etc. Yesterday, my MIL even sent AU ice cube trays!

OK you know I am not really a Gator fan unles sthey are playing Michigain it's all Buckeye's in our house. :))

Anyway, both my kids came home from the hospital in something OSU, they had the bottles, balckets, hats, and socks. Every year we do a special shopping trip the the Buckeye Corner for our new season gear and every Christmas they get a new Buckeye soemthing for Christmas. So I guess I'm saying I'm as bad as your husband only it's a differnt team so I am very sorry! :))

Oh my word, you poor thing. I'm really glad my hubby isn't a fanatic about 1 team in particular. He keeps up with all SEC teams, and pulls for the Vols, but doesn't care about seeing every game. At least he didn't insist on naming Jack "Gator", right?!

Now that is what I call a fan. :)

OMG, that is too funny!
My husband isn't really a sports fan. He will watch golf and baseball, but not football so much. Now hubby's brother... he bleeds orange & white (UT Vols)!

Oh my! Thank goodness Bjørn isn't a fan of anything. I let him pick the kids names but i think I would have fought him over the Gator bedding....

What? How did I miss the Gators bling on your blog? I live, and was born and raised, in Gainesville, and my entire family is made up of INSANE Gator fans! I'm hearing the same thing about when the season starts, stats, who all is injured and out for the season, what wonderful thing Tim Tebow has done recently (whom we've met and taken pics with)...need I go on? NO, because you're living it too! lol My husband even KNOWS some of the players so he thinks he is all that.
I'm so excited to have met another Gator blogger! GO GATORS!

You're a good wife for letting him outfit the kid and the room.

hee hee! Those Gators are die-hard fans, for sure! I thought I was hard core about my teams, until I met some friends from Florida.

Good luck - it's going to be many long year!

We're HUGE Gator fans as well! And yes, in our last house the walls in my son's room were Gator orange and blue, plus I painted the gator head on one of them (it was sooo cool!)
GO GATORS!
