Urgghhhhh!

I've been such a whineybutt this past week...I'm usually more hardcore when it comes to illness, but not with this last one. May be it's because I have a new outlet to get it all out when before I just sucked it up and moved on. Is blogging making me whimpy?! An idea for another post another day...

In my attempt to "grin and bear it" this week, I've come up with all the illnesses I was developing (tongue-in-cheek of course). Working in a medical office, they got the joke...so this past week I've had Rheumatic fever (achy knees), Bubonic plague, and MRSA (due to a nice little pimple in my nose - ewwww! I know!!) Do you know how much it sucks to have a cold and a pimple in your nose?! - blowing your nose hurts like a bitch. I'm sorry for the imagery I'm causing at this point. So, having a history of performing "bathroom surgery" on myself, I decided to take care of the pimple (really to get some relief while blowing my nose). To be honest, I messed with it more than once. Here's the result:

CELLULITIS!! I have an actual diagnosis now!! Am I my worst enemy or what?! So I am on a 10 day course of Keflex for my poor aching, painful nose. I'm thinking I got what I deserved whining all week and trying to get rid of my MRSA, bubonic plague and rheumatoid fever myself ;)

Post Script: I pride myself in looking at all my favorite blogs on a daily basis and being able to be very up-to-date. I've failed this task miserably this week and I'm feeling so guilty. My saving grace will be that not everyone posts on the weekend so I'll be able to catch up...so if you notice that I'm constantly stalking your blogs and haven't been this week it's not because I've lost interest it's due to all the above...SORRY!

There is a woman at my mom's work that has MRSA. And she doesn't seem to think it's a big deal. She got it while having her gastric bypass surgery...so she's been out and about trying on clothes. I just wonder if she is spreading it far and wide...

Rock on for posting that monster zit! :) hee hee. I hope your meds make you feel better soon!

BTW - I'm so glad I'm not the only one who can't seem to get through their google reader. I'm reading as many as I can, but responding has been a bit tough lately!

Alright, I'm laughing but I so feel for you! I'm a total hypochondriac, anytime anything is wrong with me, it is some dreadful debilitating disease. Feel better!

I don't know how we hypochondriacs got along before Google. We come down with so much more interesting stuff now.

I'm sorry you're feeling bad! Happy get-well vibes ~~~

Oh, my heavens! I totally understand - I will look up Cellulitus next but ever heard of cystic acne - well, I have it (not a lot but it does happen) and one time I had one come up right in my nose & then I got a steroid shot there. Oh dear me!!! My eye began watering non-stop - it was horrible!!!! So, I hope it gets better! But until then I say whine away!

First I hope you recover soon. The good news is such things usually come in 3s and that's 3 for you. My prediction is you'll recover and be healthy for quite some time.;)
I am/was a medical social worker and find that I often come down with many of the ailments my patients/residents have. Especially those that itch. I hate those! Just thinking about them makes me itch even now. By the way, You should get a Blog award for bravery! I don't think I could've taken a pic of my nose like you did.

Ok see when you said pimple in your nose I was expecting it to be in a nostril not on the side. In would have been funnier for me but probably not for you.

I hope your feeling better soon.

Just to clarify the pictures...this will be the last comment I have about pimples, etc. in my nose; I promise :)
The pimple was IN my nose, but it became infected and the infection spread to the outside...hence the pictures of the outside...you don't even want to see the inside --- it even turns my stomach...
Okay, I'm done...go enjoy your breakfast :)

And you are welcome for your award :) Angie and I also had been coveting that one... we were just talking about it last week when we went to see Mama Mia!
