Weigh-in Wednesday

Well, this will be a quick one...I didn't go to my WW meeting today to weigh in. Why? because I know the scale wouldn't have been kind to me this week because I haven't been to kind to my body. I know it's a cop out, but I just couldn't have kept a positive outlook knowing the NUMBERS!! So I skipped it...

Still haven't gotten my mojo back...thought that doing the C25K would really be a motivator, however, I ran 1 1/2 weeks ago and my left knee was feeling kinda funny...since then both knees are feeling as if they are hyperextending when I walk (the right is probably now involved because I've been overcompensating for my left knee). My plan is to wait until my knees feel like they are meant to be walked on again and do the "Kelly modified" C25K program meaning I'll probably just walk for 2-3 weeks before even building up to the running. My poor knees can't take the extra weight I'm carrying and then compounding it with joint-crushing jarring while running.

I told myself tonight that I couldn't post until I tracked today's food...so I did and here I am...no changes, but you know what? that's okay for right now (at least until next week...)

I hope you all are doing well with your health goals and have some good news to share...but even if you don't, that's okay too...

If it makes you feel better, I haven't even been able to bring myself to do a Weigh-in post yet! I keep meaning to, but it just gets me to thinking about the things I should be doing, and feeling more guilty about it.

I haven't done that great this week either. We were away over the w/e and it was hard to be good! Trying to get back on track...I don't blame you for not wanting to get on the scale if you didn't feel good about it! By next week you'll be ready!!

Just take it at the pace your body needs to go. If it makes you feel better- all of you OSB babes have inspired me to get back on the wagon.

I joined a new gym on Sunday and have already been there 4x. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with all this free time I have right now - I guess that's it!

I think walking is such a good idea! Not only will it be easy on your achy knees but it'll keep the exercise bug fresh in your mind! When you start running again maybe we can motivate each other!

Oh, I so understand skipping a weigh in. I gained this week. But it's because we have pistachios in the house. They are low carb. But obviously I still have issues with portion control because I finished a 5lb bag in a week...

I can't believe I just admitted that...

I do a modified C25K, too. I still do all the intervals, but I do it on the ellipitcal-- faster during the runs, slower during the walks. It's low impact so it won't hurt your knees, but it's still a great workout!

I have done the WW thing and was successful. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I've taken more than a few steps backwards. The important thing is to keep trying. You aren't giving up and you are still setting goals. Pain isn't an easy thing to live with. Esp. when it's in the knees which carry you through your day. I hope you heal quickly and are on the run again soon. ;)

I too have had a bad week in terms of weight loss ... ie. none.
I had not been to the gym for over a week either.
Still have not got around to starting the C25K yet.

I'm not part of the weigh-in but figured you could use an encouraging note.

Take it on one day at a time right? The 'weight' thing and 'diet' thing is never easy. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's a lifestyle change and that is not easy.

Go back to Reboundz! That's motivation for sure. Wheeeeee!

You are really are a night owl. I always see your comments so late into the night, long after I go to bed. Thats awesome.
Hang in there with the weight. Stay positive and you can do it.

I did not do well this past week either (was there a full moon or something?)

I officially signed up for OSB last week... forgot to weigh myself to get my "starting" weight.
It was that time of the month for me this past week, so all I felt like doing was curl up on the couch with some Reece's PB cups and pretzels (mmmmm!)... so no, I didn't make healthy food choices nor did I exercise.

Yeah, I'm off to a great start, huh? Oh well. It was only one week... just have to keep going!

I'm having a "slacker" meeting here this weekend, where so far, I'm the only attendee. I'll be serving ice cream and potato chips, in the hopes that I can get this crap out of my system and actually commit to getting off my arse to exercise.

In happier news, I discovered my On Demand menu on my new cable system and they've got an exercise channel. And it has a couple of programs that I've been REALLY interested in trying. So, now I seriously have no excuse for not working out. Geez. Can someone pass me the Ruffles please?
