Feelin' the Love...

I have had one great week! Filled with good times, good food, and most of all good friends. That include my friends I've met in the blogosphere...Thank You for all the bloggy comments and love you bestowed on my this week {{hugs}}

Last week, my friend Sheila invited me out to dinner which was planned for last night. Of course I immediately jumped on the offer because it had been a long time since I had a girlfriend night out. I don't think I informed Bill of my plans until the night before when he told me he had to work late...I responded, "Well I have plans and you need to be back so I can be there at 7pm" No compromise on my part was offered. Luckily he was nice enough to agree...I guess my birthday mojo is continuing for just a bit longer.

I arrived at our planned meeting place, Tijuana Flats, at about 7:15 (meeting time was 7:00 pm...I'm time challenged, have I ever shared that?!). Well I walked in and not only was Sheila there to meet me, but my friends, Brenda, Jenny, and Jan. What a cool surprise. It has even been longer since we've been able to get together for our GNO gang (sans two missing members, Linda & Terri). We ate, drank, and just talked the night away. I remember in the beginning of the night being so excited to be with my great friends and looking forward to what we were going to do next and being slightly disappointed that we were just going to stay there. But then, later being so thankful, that we just hung out and caught up with each other. I miss these guys so much!...we all used to work together and saw each other everyday, but for one reason or another (mostly the wenchbag I wrote about here) moved on to other opportunities. I was so luckily to work with such great people and friends; the convenience of work made our friendships effortless and strong. Now with the convenience gone, we have to schedule our time, but our friendships remain just as strong. I know that whenever I need them, they would all be there for me.

Jenny after eating a jalepeno...I don't think she meant to...there were tears in her eyes

Sheila and Jan...Sheila has discovered how to always look great in your pics,

stick your neck out...it works doesn't it?!

Me, Jenny, & Brenda

I'm not so so good at the technique yet, I stick out my lower jaw.

Oh, and there are the infamous boobies

Designer cupcakes are becoming so popular aren't they?
This one is a hot chocolate cupcake...don't worry my fellow OSB-ers,
we split it 5 ways :)
This one is for Sheila...She insisted I take a picture of Tijuana Flats Manifesto

I feel so loved and blessed...again, Thank you!!!!

I love the dictate to your husband. And he came home in time for you to get out! Fabulous. I have not had a girls night in a while. I need to figure out a way to finagle that into my schedule. Although I have a book club road trip planned for November. But that seems like so far away.

I deserve it. I am so glad that you had an awesome week. Happy Birthday again!

And I just wanted you to know, that I schedule my post to be published at random times through out the day. I don't know why it is just something I do. But then again, I am just crazy enough and love blogging enough to write a post at 4AM ;)

Looks like you had a great time. How nice was it that Shelia surprised you with your other friends.

I can't believe you had the willpower to share that with anybody! I would have been over in the corner stuffing my face before any of you fools knew there was a cupcake! YUM!

Everyone except for Dave (hubby) likes sweets. I only like to eat the cream soda ones... All gone!

I am timed challenged as well...it has nothing to do with being a mom...I just am. Oh, and my sister-n-law always does that neck thing. I forget, and just have tons of pics with the dreaded double chin.

I love Mexican food, which is what I'm guessing that is from the name. Sounds like a great time. I'm kind of the same way with my old coworkers. When we get together, even if its been weeks or months since we saw each other, its like nothing has changed.

This was by far your best post EVER! My name was mentioned not once, but at least a half dozen times... Along with my "stick your neck out" technique. I AM INFAMOUS!! (This blog is all about me, right?)

I am so glad you were surprised. Now let's make turn the fresh momentum into more GNO's! Or is it G'sNO? Whatever...
