The Law Of Echos

Also known as "What comes around goes around". The thought is that if you consistently do good things, good things will happen to you. The same applies if you are a person that does bad things; it may not be today or tomorrow, but eventually your negative actions will catch up with you.

I am not gloating in this post, just saying I've been waiting for the law of echos to come to fruition for a certain person for about 5 years. It's not a vindictiveness, but what should have been rectified and dealt with years ago.

I have had to interact with a certain person for about 6 years and 5 years ago that person was able to obtain a position of power which they immediately started to abuse. I make no exaggerations that this person had a list; if an individual crossed this person, the individual would be systematically abused, harassed, and lied about until the attacked person was miserable, sick, defeated and finally left. I have seen this happen to no less than 50 people in the last 5 years (and this is a generous figure as it's probably 3 times this number). The people who have power over this person were made very aware of what this person was doing, but took no actions. I have witnessed good person after good person be personally and professionally destroyed and let go. After that, they are the scapegoat for this person's errors (of which there were many). It happened time and time again. It happened to me personally. I was harassed for about a year and finally I told this person's supervisor that I was not going to be harassed and lied about any longer and I was leaving; accommodations were made for me. To date, I was the only survivor of this wrath which never sat well for this person.

This person finally got so confident in their power that they crossed the wrong person, a supervisor. It has taken 1 year since than for things to happen, but it finally did! I wish it could have been more dramatic, more gut wrenching for this person so that they might have a taste of what they've done to multiple persons over the years; I guess this is my vindictive side.

I need to be happy that what should have been corrected years ago has finally occurred and I AM!!!

OMG! I don't blame you for being glad that this happened! I have also witnessed people do awful things for years on end--it always ends w/ them getting too cocky and finally getting caught! I'm sorry you had to deal w/ this person but I'm glad it all worked out in the end!!

I had to work with a person very much like this one and she was promted and became my boss. She never was able to get to me because I shut her down everytime she tried and Karma finally caught up with her.

I am glad this person didn't get to you and I'm glad this person is paying for their actions. I hope it makes your life easier

What do you do with a person on such a power trip? We've got a few of them over here. We call them school administrators, and they're not fun to deal with! BTW, if you have some time tomorrow, drop on by my place. We're playing the Silly Sunday Sweepstakes, and Sharing All That Caption Love!

Ugh, so sorry you had to deal with a person like that. And for so long, too! I don't blame you for doing a happy-dance. Mean people suck!

Hi Kelly! Just circling back from Austin, TX to say thanks for visiting my blog last Wednesday.

Anyhow, 5 years is a long time for this kind of behavior to be tolerated. But just as you said, eventually this does not go unpunished. You must be very good at what you are doing though to be the only one who was accomodated all these time!

Good, mean and nasty people always get what they deserve, one way or another.

You are human to think as you do/did. Who hasn't felt a little relief when some wrong was finally made right. Sorry to hear this person hurt you and so many others in the process.

Oh I SO do believe in Karma....

It's fantastic. It's a bitch. It always bites you in the ass (or someone else here for that matter).

I'm sure it was worth the wait.

Thanks for stopping by via BATW the other day. I do love Florida, but no I don't miss those HUGE roaches one bit. Reason in and of itself to live in CA. :)

And I'm crossing my fingers that me and my hubby can attend the "Twilight" cast & crew screening when they're finished working on it. Wish me luck! :)

Don't you love it when the law of echoes occurs? Karma makes me smile. But I am so sorry that it took so long to happen!

Karma is a bitch. And so am I when it comes to people like that. Glad this person got what was coming to them and that you don't have to deal with him/her anymore!
